Sector A1-0 (A1-0)

Sector A1-0 is a sector located in the Lampshade Galaxy. Its size is 3000 light years by 3000 light years and it is inhabited by countless civilizations, spacefaring and othewise. It is filled with trillions of souls that call it their home and live their daily lives in it, despite the problematic circumstance that might arise in the Sector.

Astrography

Sector A1-0 contains nearly 1,080,000 star systems spread out across a 100 ly thick segment. Natural phenomena are also commonplace in the Sector. The Badlands are a mysterious nebulous area of space that prevent any space travel through them, though smugglers have been known to find ways to go deeper than what is commonly believed to be safe. Similar to the badlands, the expanses are dense nebulous clouds that are believed to have formed due to an interdimensional cataclysm as it inhibits characteristics outside the physics of realspace. Space travel is considered dangerous through the expanses and deemed impossible through the badlands with both requiring powerful navigational computers to calculate a path through them.
Blackholes and wormholes are also present in the Sector. The most famous among them being the Middleton Wormhole that connects Cornucopia, a Stoinian trade hub, with the Venterran space. The discovery of this wormhole in particular has lead to a conflict between the two star nations known throughout the Sector as the War of Terran Appraisal

North of the sector are located the Drakari Celestial Imperium, Tarassian Union and the Ryccian Empire who are considered by many to be awakening giants in recent astropolitcal developments.
In the centre of the Sector a strange regions is located north of the lawless stars of the Badlands of Anacrhy. This region is known as the Tiyanki Territories named after the many Tiyanki space whales that inhabit Sector A1-0 and have an affinity for said region. The region is filled with dozens of smaller star nations that remain largely trapped in their part of the Sector.
South of the Sector are the younger star nations like the Treecuu Star Empire and the Stoinian Star Kingdom. These rising powers are slowly spreading their influence and consolidating their nations from era of rapid expansion. While in the west are located the Celestial Empire Of Galactya and the Star Empire of Calerost, two ancient and previously isolated nations, as well as a secluded slaver empire known as the Zelvan Regime, who heeds in its hedonist traditions.

Name

Using the A1 galactic sectorisation system, this is the 0th system. The sector has other designations in other sectorisation systems.

Sector A1-0 is the home of hundreds of sapient species on thousands of worlds. Current estimations put the total number of sapient individuals at 400 trillion dispersed over the many star nations. However, it should be mentioned that Humans are seemingly omnipresent in the entire Sector. With many star nations being founded by Humans and/or their off-shoot, it's yet unclear where the species originated from and whether their homeworld is located somewhere in the Sector. All that remains certain of humanity is that it will maintain a dominant role amongst the other natives of the Sector.
