The Hon. Columbo Septimum CA MRC (born 3rd October 1953) is the 25th President of Anserisa. Previously he was Commissioner of Defence on the 3rd Antoninum Commission from 1990 to 1994.

Early life and education

Columbo Septimum was born on 3 October 1953 in Libério, in Anserisa, eldest of three children.

He attended the University of Anserisa between 1973 and 1977.

Career

After graduating from the University of Anserisa, Septimum worked as a college professor in moral philosophy.

Commissioner of Defence

In 1986, he was asked to become Commissioner of Defence and he turned down the offer, being appointed as senior military advisor just the year before. In 1990, he was asked again and this time, accepted the offer. During his term, he helped facilitate the purchase of new helicopters for search and rescue operations within the Anserisan Armed Forces. He received the Medal of the Armed Forces for his work as Commissioner of Defence.

Teaching

In 1994, after the end of his mandated, Septimum resumed his position as senior military advisor and started teaching at the University of Anserisa in political science.

Nomination

In 2012, Septimum was approached by senior members of the Socialist Union for the upcoming major election of 2014. He won the leadership race of the party to be appointed as the Presidential candidate and the Socialist Union had a landslide victory, winning all three elections (Presidential, and both Houses of Congress). He was reelected in 2018.
