The Concordia Entente is primarily a mutual self-defence alliance between ten nations in the South Pacific, but it also incorporates political and economic policies. The organisation was founded in 1 February 2022 in Concordia, Anserisa following the signing and ratification of the Essela Treaty. It currently consists of the ten nations that were invited by the Sedunnic king Vimmru Innienn, having a common goal to stand up for democracy and the rule of international law. The invitation was a reaction to the political instability of the South Pacific region 2020-2021.[1]

The organisation is currently being set up and the location of the headquarters is yet to be announced.

Basis

  1. Mutual self-defence: consider an attack against one member state to be an attack against them all. A member's support to the allies can be solely civilian if the member lacks the military capacity for the intended operations.
  2. Every member is encouraged to spend as much as they can to be able to contributing to intelligence gathering, common infrastructure and a military force capable of asserting respective nation's territory's integrity. The members shall spend a minimum of 0.50% of their respective GPD's on their military. Members must have bases so that members to can and resupply at friendly ports.
  3. Consensus-based decisions
  4. Shared funding of research that strengthens the organisation's abilities and cause
  5. Strengthened cooperation between universities
  6. Free trade agreement
  7. Hosting of nuclear weapons is voluntary. Members shall sign the treaty on the prohibition of nuclear weapons (ratification is voluntary for founding members while future members must ratify the treaty)
  8. No member may use chemical or biological weapons
  9. Shared intelligence that is relevant to other members. Members shall not spy on each other.
  10. Members must be democracies. They shall adhere to international law, have freedom of speech, have fair elections. A member will be ejected if it no longer is perceived a democracy.
  11. Regular meetings of heads of states/governments and/or their representatives to discuss and decide new policies
  12. Headquarters: A military headquarters for sharing intelligence and surveillance and to plan joint operations. A headquarters for the coordination of the scientific/universities. A HQ for the free trade arbitration process. These shall be placed permanently in different nations that will be decided later.
  13. Apply for observer status in the WF

Membership

The Concordia Entente currently has eleven members, all except Kliegme being the founders. Additional members may be admitted in the future.

In 2022, Hazelia - a former overseas possession of Snolland - achieved independence and the territory is no longer part of the CE.

Military operations

Ongoing

The CE conducts permanent joint air policing in Transsunerian airspace. The nation lacks an air force of its own, and the mission provides a continuous presence of allied fighter aircraft, a responsibility that is rotated between volunteering members at even intervals. From 1 October 2022, fighters from the Frost Empire are deployed, mainly operating from the Sedunnic overseas base in Floodport.
