The Hemmerhaldian War was a conflict between the Holy Imperium of Trianar and the Hemmerhaldian Empire from 372 BBT to 322 BBT. The war is notable for being the last war to date where Ikaranareans engaged in ground combat, and for having the 2nd greatest casualties of any war in the Trianarö region besides the Xanstal War.
Background
The Hemmerhaldians had denounced the Ikaranarean Star Empire's annexation of Xanstal following the Xanstal war. This created tension which culminated in the Ikaranarean invasion of and annexation of Sûtra. Hemmerhaldia and the Ikaranarean Star Empire were the only countries left in the sector (Besides Mekagrûl) and despised each other. They ceased diplomatic talks years before the war and the border had seen many naval skirmishes before the war, it being heavily patrolled. in 372 BBT, the Hemmerhaldians launched a full invasion into Trianar.
