Personnel

The commander-in-chief of Livana's armed forces is the President. However, the constitution limit the President's military directive powers to matters of sovereignty and defense, while domestic military directive is the privilege of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. The Ministry of Defense oversee the armed forces' funding and organization, as well as procurements and operations. Livana enacted compulsory military service for its male citizens within the eligibility age range of 17 to 30. All male citizens need to attend one two year long military service after their primary education has finished. After this mandatory service ended, these citizens were put under the General Mobilization List and are eligible to be mobilized during emergencies. This decree allows Livana to mobilize twice the amount of its standing force on first notice, and calls up almost 15% of its population in the first few months of military emergency.

The standing personnel of the armed forces are broke down into the four branches:

  • The Army: 50,000 personnel.
  • The Navy: 18,000 personnel.
  • The Air Force: 5,000 personnel.
  • The Marines: 7,000 personnel.

Organisation and service branches

The Armed Forces is organized into four branches, the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. Each branches is led by a Chief of Staff which comprised the membership of the Livanan Defense Council, which is headed by a single chairman elected by their peers, and include the Minister of Defense as representative of the government.
