Toponymy
Nicholasgrad is named after both Nicholas McGregor and the region of Nicholas. 'Grad' is used as a suffix in many Kalinskian towns and the town the city was built on had the suffix because it was created by Kalinskian immigrants. To honour the town, McGregor decided to keep the unique suffix.
