Jonas Val (full birth name: Jonas Nasi Val, born March 19th 1983.) is a biochemist, molecular-fluorescence bio-fuel researcher, H.E. in PrototAutomaton, and politician from the Locality of Wintersun, Nasphilitae. Nasi Val comes from a mixed shephardic, ashkenazi and yiddish background, formerly professing to Hasidite judaism. His mother, Cella Nasi, was a linguist for the Agorport Stock Exchange. Cellas' father, Saul Nasi, was a rabbi married to Aelia Nasi. Aelia was a renown architect of the Art deco revivalist movement during the Iron Century. Vals' patrimonial family lineague of his father Clain Val (geologist), were his grandparents, Halevi Val (astrologist) and Demietta Val (marine biologist); all esteemed natural scientists in Nasphilitae. Jonas cites his fathers family as influential to his interest in and later pursuit of career in Biofuel research. His political and social influences mainly came from his mothers' family, by his own account. Jonas Val married civil servant Elie Benacerraf of shephardic background in 2002., with whom he has three children: Asher, Vidal, and Yardenna.
Saul Nasi (grandfather by mothers side) provided Jonas Val with private Mandatorian education in the coastal Locality of Alevi, Peerage of Atkinsons. He was first introduced to Dorothianist ideas in his later Mandatorian years. Moving to Agorport to pursue his studies, he earned his BA in Biochemistry in 2004.; durign which he met like-minded Dorothianist students, with whom he formed the "Association for Liberty Advocates". At the time, ALA was a student underground organisation, which later transformed into the present-day political party of The ADLA. Jonas went on to pursue a Post-graduate specialisation in the University of Agorport on the topic of "fluorescence incadescence" in which he demonstrated the use of FRAPs to increase the efficiency of Solar panel farms in 2008. He would assume leadership of the ALA in 2009., after which the organisation abandoned Radicalism (Republicanism) in favour of "Neo-Dorothianism".
