Voting systemEach country awards one set of 12, 10, 8-1 points to the other songs through televoting. Juries in each country also rank the other songs in the categories "Best Lyrics", "Best Performance" and "Most Original". Based on the overall score, each country receives an additional 1-8, 10 or 12 points in each category.

Production

The Pacivision Song Contest 2026 was produced by the Freian public broadcaster Het Radio Frei Helsi (HRFH). The Freian government allocated around 10 million TSP-$ as part of the budget needed to host the event on the condition that participation fees were levied.

Basten de Hond and Bas Sieb-Westerman were chosen as the presenters of the contest. With both having co-hosted the TV Show Last week with Bas&Bas.

Format

Allocation draw

The running-order was determined by producers of HRFH on 16 January 2026 and sent to the PEB on the same day. The PEB decided against a random draw per the 2023 edition decision.

Postcards

The "postcards" are short introduction videos shown on television whilst the stage is being prepared for the next contestant to perform their entry, and are 40 seconds long. The following locations were used for each participating country:

  7.  Sedunn - Tierp Beach, Labesse Island
  8.  Esfalsa - Enfi Tower, Ricubai, Esfalsa
  9.  Snolland - Fis Beach, Gralois
  10.  Ikoania - The Shorez (Garden of Peace), Miened
  11. Arnchow - Benloc Street, Cartos

Participating countries

The PEB initially announced on 1 February 2022 that 11 countries would participate in the 2022 contest, with Arnchow, Esfalsa, the Frost Empire and the host country Ikoania participating for the first time. Eareamland, Mauquibie and New Itomorii being non-returning countries from the previous contest. The winner was Gianatla with the song "Onbezonnen" by Frauke Westra.
