The Chamber of Peers (Mauquibian: Chambre des Pairs) is part of the legislative branch of the Grand Duchy of Mauquibie. It is led by the Lord-President of Mauquibie. It is the upper house of the National Assembly. It was created in 2001 by Grand Duke Louis-Philippe III.

The Chamber of Peers is jointly responsible, with the Chamber of Deputies, for the redaction, the debate and the adoption of all the laws of Mauquibie.

Members

The Chamber of Peers is composed of the 166 hereditary and life Peers which are representing a Peerage. They are non-elected and their appointment is unconditional and can only be revoked by the Grand Duke. They are automatically members of the National Assembly. They hold the right to use the post-nominal letters MCP for life, unless their appointment is revoked by the Grand Duke.
