This is a list of national flowers used to represent various countries of the world and their subdivisions. Flowers used for this purpose are typically native to or naturalized in the relevant area and/or hold special cultural or historical significance to the area’s inhabitants: they may be recognized as national or regional symbols by an official act of government, or popularly adopted as an unofficial symbol.
