Decorations of Anserisa (Pacifica)

The Decorations of Anserisa are the orders and medals which recognize personal accomplishments of both civilians and military personnel. Such awards are means to outwardly display the highlights of a member's career. They are typically issued for sustained meritorious service.

Only one order, the Order of Prince Stéphano I is a remnant of the former Principality of Anserisa and is not awarded by the government but by the descendants of the princely House of Anserisa.

Orders

Order of Prince Stéphano I

The Order of Prince Stéphano I is an award bestowed by the exiled princely House of Anserisa which has since been able to return to Anserisa without any noble titles. It is awarded to people normally sympathetic to the descendent of the House of Anserisa and to other nobles.

It is the highest dynastic award of Anserisa. It was established in 1736 by Stéphano VI, then Prince of Anserisa. It is the only surviving order from the Principality of Anserisa.

The Order of Prince Stéphano I is of the highest value in Anserisa but since it is rarely bestowed and mostly to people who are sympathetic with the descendants of the House of Anserisa. As such, the Order of Anserisa is widely regarder as the highest award that can be given to an Anserisan citizen. The order is then rarely shown by people since it is associated with royalism which is frowned upon in Anserisa.

Order of Anserisa

The National Order of Anserisa is an award bestowed by the Republican Commission of Anserisa to recognize people who have made "an especially exceptional contribution to the national interests of Anserisa, world peace, cultural or other significant contributions".

It is the highest state award of Anserisa. It was established in 1931 by Spurio Traianum, then President of Anserisa. At first it was awarded directly by the President, this was changed in 1946 by Martino Gallum who created the Medal of the President of Anserisa to become the only award to be given solely by the President. As a member of the Republican Commission, the President is still a voting member of the Order.

As the highest governmental order in Anserisa it is often placed first. Only the Order of Prince Stéphano I is of higher value in Anserisa but is rarely bestowed and mostly to people who are sympathetic with the descendants of the House of Anserisa. As such, the Order of Anserisa is widely regarder as the highest award that can be given to an Anserisan citizen.
