The Council on Regional Security (CRS) is the government body that monitors and responds to regional security issues.
Role
The Council of Regional Security are responsible for setting and reinforcing the endorsement cap, and may issue proscriptions along with the Cabinet of the South Pacific. In the case of a coup, the Council of Regional Security have a duty to restore the Coalition and have the power to declare a state of emergency until the legitimate government is back in power. They hold at least three Regional Officer positions with Border Control powers. They are responsible for appointing the Election Commissioner.
Nations can join the Council on Regional Security either by being nominated by the Delegate and the Prime Minister or by applying directly to the Council of Regional Security. They must be approved by a three-fifths majority by the Assembly. The current minimum qualifications for membership in the Council on Regional Security are: maintaining a World Assembly member nation in the South Pacific; a Soft Power Disbursement Rating of at least 130,000, or a Regional Influence ranking of Apprentice; 400 endorsements or half the endorsements of the Delegate; and having served at least six consecutive months as a legislator or two terms in the Local Council.
The Coral Guard
The South Pacific Coral Guard is a subdivision of the Council of Regional Security made up of trusted individuals who maintain high endorsement counts under that of the Council. The Coral Guard may occasionally support or otherwise work with the CRS in times of emergency. World Assembly members in the South Pacific may apply to join the SPCG provided they have at least six consecutive months of Legislator status or two terms in the Local Council. The SPCG's endorsement cap is instituted by CRS Regulation IV.

History
Until the Great Council of 2016, the role of the Council of Regional Security was filled by the Committee on State Security.
