She was elected in 1982 and was reelected in 1986 and 1990. She is regarded as one of the most influential figures of modern-day Anserisa. Prior to being President, she represented the district of Bartramia from 1976 until 1982.

Early life and education

Valentina Antoninum was born on 7 January 1952 in Brantavilla, in Anserisa, eldest of two children.

She attended the University of Anserisa in mathematics between 1968 and 1973.

Career

After graduating from the University of Anserisa, Valentinum worked as a statistician for the Anserisan National Statistics Administration.

Representative

In 1976, she was elected in the Bartramia district and was, at the time, one of the youngest elected woman in the history of the National Convention. She was reelected in 1978 and 1980.

President of Anserisa

With the popularity of Sergio Flavium slowly declining, some people within the Socialist Union wanted a new and fresh figure to represent the party in the upcoming election of 1982. Many people were approached and Antoninum was reluctant at first, being considered young at the time (she was 29 years old in 1981).

Nomination

In 1981, Antoninum announced her intention to represent the Socialist Union for the upcoming presidential election of 1982. She won the leadership race of the party to be appointed as the Presidential candidate. She won the 1982 election, becoming the first woman President of Anserisa and one of the youngest President elected at the age of 30. She was reelected in 1986 and 1990. In 1993, she announced her intention to leave the presidency at the end of her term.

Post-Presidential Works

After her presidency ended in 1994, Antoninum went on a small public relations campaign in Anserisa to promote the Socialist Union which just lost the presidency and the majority in the National Convention. She also campaigned alongside the party in the election of 1996 which was also lost to the Republican Alliance, this time losing the majority in the Council of Regions.

She became an ambassador of the Anserisan Modern Pentathlon Association in 2000 and promoted the sport abroad. She was ambassador for the association from 2000 to 2010.

She has also done a lot of charity work in Anserisa, especially working with groups and associations promoting more affordable housing. She was really vocal against the presidency of Mauritio Cyprianum and campaigned a lot against the Conservative Coalition in the election of 2006.

She showed her support to Columbo Septimum during the election of 2014. She had previously appointed Septimum in 1990 as Commissioner of Defence.
