The Pacifica canon is the modern-day roleplay canon of TSPRP, and the oldest of the current 3. It follows modern dates and levels of technology, and features real-world religions, ideologies, and languages, but has a separate universe and does not use Earth’s geography or history. The active map area is the South Pacific, a region in the southern hemisphere of Pacifica around the prime meridian. Roleplay in the Pacifica canon is more grounded and realism-focused than the other two canons and Knowhere. The most influential and established historical event of the canon is the Great War, an enormous region-spanning military conflict from 1949 to 1955 which involved most of the canon’s great powers, brought the development of nuclear weapons in 1955, and played a significant role in many nations’ histories. Other major events occurring more recently IC include the establishment of the World Forum as a peace-promoting international organization in 2017 and the Reizen Civil War from 2017 to 2022. To get involved with the Pacifica canon, look at the map thread on the forums and check the guide for starting in TSPRP: ★ Featured nation page — show anotherPrydon, officially the Republic of Prydon (Prydonian: Praydon Laséia)(Karnetvorian: Прайдонь Республика) is a sovereign nation located in the southern cone of the Cordillian Continent, west of the Cordillian Mountain Ranges. Prydon shares borders with Mitallduk Confederation, Krauanagaz Federation, Zuhlgan, and shares the region with Karnetvor and Techganet. It borders the Cordillian Sea and the Marinkora Mountains to the west, and the Cordillian Mountains to its east. The nation straddles the vale of the Belaya River, and occupies an expansive flat terrain known as the Plodorodnyy Croplands. There are 46 million citizens of Prydon, spread across a territory of around 137 thousand kilometres square. Prydonian and Karnetvorian are the main ethnic groups residing in Prydon. Prydon is a Unitary Semi-Parliamentary Republic, with its capital in Lasvorn, an ancient trade post deep in the heart of the country. The nation is fairly decentralized, and is separated into 17 Okrugs. Prydon’s largest cities included Aetrinun, Kostroya in the north, Solnevorn, and Setrivié in the south. Aetrinun, the largest city of Prydon, is a bustling metropolis, serving as the economic and cultural centre of Prydonians, as well as being one of the major urban centres of Southern Cordillia. The Plodorodnyy Plain is one of the centers of cotton production in the world that supplies massive amount of raw materials for Prydon's textile manufacturing. Prydon went through a Communist dictatorship following the fall of the Kingdom of Prydon in 1957. The dictatorship was eventually replaced by an Ultravisionary regime led by Nikolai Andrezhnev, which made Prydon one of the leading scientific and engineering innovators in Pacifica. However, the people suffered under a police state, and the nation became isolated due to horrible human rights score. By the end of the 20th century, the Ultravisionary system was in shambles, and entering the 21st century, Prydon entered into a state of economic and societal crisis. The economy eventually plummeted, and a revolution brought down the Ultravisionaries, replacing it with a democratic semi-parliamentary government. Prydon is a member of the Cross-Pacific Space Cooperation. It is administered as a federal city separate from the rest of Stelossia. The first significant urban settlement in the Pelograd area was established circa 19 BC, when the settlement of Chorpeska was established by the southwestern Chorekite kingdom of Yugorod as a border outpost near the Marahic kingdoms to the west. It reached status as a major population center by 126 AD, when it was recorded as the capital of the Kerekite Empire; later, during the early medieval era, it became an administrative center for the southeasternmost holdings of the Loshkar Dakaraltsate. Following the unification of the medieval Kingdom of Stelossia in 1397, it was reincorporated under Chorekic rule and became the primary seaport for maritime commerce with other states bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Chorpeska was renamed to Pelograd and converted into the capital of the new Kingdom of Pelinai in 1783, superseding Korolyeviya; it retained this status under the Socialist Republic of Belogora under the name Belograd between 1975 and 1982. The city was spared from the large-scale destruction visited on cities such as Korolyeviya and Letograd during the Pelinese Civil War by the surrender of the communist government in October 1982, which saw the name of Pelograd restored to usage and the new Provisional Government placed into power. Pelograd possesses significant political, economic, and cultural significance in Pelinai, and is one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities as of 2024. The city is home to numerous major financial and commercial assets such as Pelograd Harbor and the State Energy Resources Exchange; along with Tsugunare and Letograd, it is also one of the three major shipping hubs handling most of Pelinai’s maritime trade with western countries. The federal city and its metropolitan area contain the headquarters buildings for 17 of Pelinai’s 100 largest companies as well as 3 of its major keiretsu banks. Major research universities situated in or near the city include Pelograd Federal University, Stelossia Regional University, and East Mediterranean University. International institutions partially or fully headquartered in Pelograd include the Bailtemmic Commission of the Bailtemmic Cooperation Organization and the Bailtemmic Infrastructure Investment Bank. The war started over territorial dispute regarding the territories of Blubach and Bischofgen and Weissersteiner support for the exiled Clashonian monarchy. The war ended the existence of the Union State and saw the rise of the Clashonian Republic, the beginning of the Warlord era, and Weissersteiner occupation of Bannarsia through a client state. Following the 1904 Clashonian coup d'etat, the Clashonian royal family, government, and military high command fled to neighboring Weisserstein, establishing the royal Clashonian government-in-exile. Amidst the chaos of the coup, Weissersteiner forces move to secure the territories of Blubach and Bischofgen. Both territories were previously established as a condominium following the First Weissersteiner-Clashonian War, but after the coup, the Weissersteiner government decided to incorporate the two territories into the Weissersteiner Empire. At the time, the Union State was unable to do anything due to their own precarious position, and was forced to recognize the annexation during discussions in mid-February of 1907, now known as the Brandenburg Agreement. The events of 1907 became a key turning point as the nationalist wing of the Party of the Union State began taking a more active role in both the military and governance, eventually leading to Steffan Fahr, leader of the nationalist wing of the party, becoming the President of the Union State in the 1915 snap elections. On 28 June, a false flag attack by the Army of the Union State was conducted in the Kleinhart Jura, marking the beginning of the war. While the AVS had a numerical advantage, advances into Weisserstein's southern and eastern imperial states, such as Luxemburg, Kurland, Lowenia, and Al-Khatab, stalled. The line remained relatively static until Weisserstein, using the Panzerwagen GS, made a breakthrough offensive in mid-1920, capturing much of Bannarsia and Clashonia's second largest city, Williemsbode. The AVS attempted to reverse the Weissersteiner gains by Operation Burn Back, but was unsuccessful in regaining lost grounds. The failures of the Union State led to the National Republican Party, a staunch rival of the Party of the Union State, launching a rebellion in Greater Clarvia. The situation was exploited by the Reichswehr, which launched a major offensive, capturing much of the Kleinhart Jura, Greater Clarvia, and even Clashonia's capital, Karlsbode, in February 1922. The territory is divided into sixteen regions (Sedunnic: dolē), which are further divided into 416 municipalities (tavvasa'lē) and 33811 districts (ovutlē). The regions are self-governing local authorities responsible for providing advanced public health care, public transportation and regional development. The municipalities have local self-governing authority and are the main welfare providers. They also provide emergency services, public social services, sanitation and urban and rural planning. The purpose of the districts is population registration, including civil registration of births, marriages, civil partnerships and deaths, and for the collation of census information.
